Cotati-Rohnert Park Co-Op Nursery School
Serving Sonoma County families through care and community since 1953
A 501(c)3 nonprofit cooperative preschool, CRPCNS was created in 1953 by a group of local mothers intent on raising our county’s children as a community.
Today, we utilize our little red schoolhouse to teach our children about the earth, about empathy, kindness, self-confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.
Small Class Sizes
10-16 students. We maintain a 1:5 student to adult ratio to focus individually on each child.
Gentle Transition from Home to School
Parents work and play alongside their children.
Experienced Teachers
Students and parents grow under the guidance of teachers who hold permits from the California Commission on Teaching Credentials (CCTC).
Whole Child Philosophy
Our programs promote the physical, social-emotional, and intellectual development of students.
Caring Community
Because families are so involved, children and parents often develop close and lasting friendships with the other families and teachers in our community.
Licensed
CA child care license #490102400. Teachers pass rigorous background and safety checks.

“Absolutely love being part of this co-op family. Getting to connect with other parents & being involved with my child’s development has been such a tremendous gift. If it weren’t for the co-op & lower tuition than other preschools my child wouldn’t be able to have a preschool experience. We are so grateful to the staff & board for keeping our little red school house open!”

“I highly appreciate the attention and passion you put towards teaching the kids. Based on taking tours of others schools for TK/kindergarten, it’s evident that the kids at CRPCNS are well prepared for their next chapter. Thank you for getting them ready and making them all feel welcomed!”

"I love being part of a community of people who are gathered for the greater good of our children. Never have I encountered a person who was not willing to step in and answer a question, offer assistance or just generally be there for each other as we all navigate learning new behaviors and exposing our children to new methods of play, social interactions, etc."

“We have two girls going through this school and it is the best educational decision we ever could have made. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for a school that is also a community, where you get to be involved in all aspects of your child’s preschool experience, this is it!”
